Another Kind of Bike Park

Trails, Jumps, Pumps, River, Pond, Restaurant, Brewery...

Whether you come to Old Fort, NC for Pisgah Gnar, or as a jumping off point for your mountain adventure, Foothills Watershed has something you’ll not easily find elsewhere…one place with activities for the whole family.

Our mountain bike trails focus on skill progression with sessionable lines that beg you to reach for that next longer landing. With a mix of rake n’ ride loamers, steep flow with grip that’ll rip a tire off, progressive jumps, rocky gaps, step ups, hips…these trails are designed to level up.

Armageddon It started as a beginner jump line that turned out to be too steep…good for folks who like tables and super grippy berms.

Slippery When Wet is an after school project designed and build by Cash and Arlo (two of our resident trail crew). With catch berms, slick roots, drops, and a step up, it’s just like that jail trail you built last summer.

Phase 1 of the park includes 9 purpose built MTB trails, 2 jump lines, an all ages pump track, and a tot track covering 37 acres with 180 vertical elevation change. COMPLETE

Phase 2 is partially open with new trails under construction by Elevated Trail Design and adds another 80 acres with 500 vert. (ESTIMATED COMPLETION - FALL 2026)

Phase 3 in partnership with Foothills Conservancy includes a 2000+ acre expansion along super steep knife edge ridge from the park all the way to Catawba Falls. (Feasibility - in process)
